Living every day without a script, inventing new and different ways to escape from the routine, loving the unexpected, life is about that.
But, have you ever asked yourself why do we act this way?
Nobody likes to live in a systematic world, where all is uniform and monotonous, although we share similar things with other people, that doesn’t mean that we have to live or solve the things in the same way. Ingenious people make exactly that: They see the world in a different way, using their creativity to invent simple solutions to their everyday problems, finding an original way to turn difficulties into opportunities, or even better, creating their own opportunities and not giving up when things turn hard. Maybe they just try to make things easier and more fun than they really are.
So, what makes a person ingenious?
Well, first of all, ingenuity is something we're all born with. It's not a supernatural power that only some privileged enjoy, and of course, it can be developed and improved. In fact, we don't realize it but we're always being witty in the simplest moments of life, such as making a child believe that the spoon is an airplane, turning a tedious moment into something entertainment to him, or cutting the pizza in squares when there are more friends than pizza, or even playing and singing our favorite music when we're inside the car stuck in traffic, while others argue and horn desperately.
As you can see, it's all about how you act in different situations using an original and spontaneous way that seems to be very obvious, but sometimes the most obvious things are usually the most difficult to discover.
Einstein said: "Genious is making complex ideas simple, not making simple ideas complex"
But, can we become more ingenious persons?
Here is a powerful and simple tip I want to give you, which has been very useful in my life: Try to see everything from another perspective, or perspectives.
And to do that, you can start your thoughts with this two little words: "What if..."
Yes, the "what if" question is like a detonator that allows you to think of other possibilities. Doing this will help you to be a more perceptive person about the things around you. Try to do this frequently with all aspects of your life, and eventually, you'll detect the best ideas spontaneously.
In fact, when I started this blog, I had no idea what to write about, so I made a brainstorming in order to find a main idea that also was related to my brand concept and allows me to write about any topic without having to be an expert on it. When I came up with the idea - the Eureka moment- It was easy to find some topics to write about, because all my content would be pure imagination and wit, putting myself into practice “the guide to surviving life with ingenuity”.
But nothing of this would have happened if I have not begun my thoughts with the little question of “What if”.
So what is the purpose of this blog? I believe that everyone deserves a dose of ingenuity in order to make the moments of life easier and more fun. So in this blog, you'll find ingenious solutions to curious problems which will probably never going to happen, but… what if it does?
WAIT! the best of all, is that you don’t have to be just the spectator of these ingenious solutions, you can also use your ingenuity to find other ways to solve the problems, leaving a comment below the post. So this is not only a survival guide, it is also a workshop where you will put in practice your ingenuity, no matter if you are a traveler, a doctor, an artist, a student, a parent or just someone curious about life.
What do you think about?
